Alex moved down a couple of spots not because of anything he did, but because I felt like Grant had to move back up to the top. So that's one spot. And I knew Tanner was primed to win NXN. Alex has had a great year and I think he's got a great chance for top-3 at Foot Locker. But I'm not sure he can out-kick Fisher, Maton ... we'll find out later this week.

Hi there. Fair question! I thought for awhile about what to do with Mikey. He will be somewhere on the final top 100 list but his inconsistency over the last month of the season -- 7th at state and 18th at FL NE -- seemed to erase his argument for a top 30 spot and possibly the top 50. I know that seems harsh. Mikey has a lot of talent but it just didn't come together for him in the important races this fall. The one guy who wasn't moving on to either NXN or FL that I kept on the bubble was Tanis Baldwin, who had the unfortunate luck to get food poisoning at the banquet the night before FL South. I think he'd have made it but now we'll never know.

Wondering whether the media attention on Brannigan has put additional expectations and pressure on him. With his known disability, that may not be helpful. Hope that he can become more consistent in indoor / outdoor track. Wish him best of luck.
